We have an extensive lending library available to our patients. There are so many fantastic books in any imaginable style. These are many of our favorites. We are excited to have 2 copies of the Hypnobabies self study course available that we received as donations from clients. If you have any books that you are done with, we happily accept donations to our library, its a great way to spread the knowledge!Birth Center Recommendations:

Stephanie– favorite website- www.spinningbabies.com– She thinks this is a great website to get info for getting your baby into the best position possible for birth.  Really important for the shortest labor possible.

Camellia– “Happiest Baby on the Block” DVD- Many great ways to keep babies happy. We often joke that we wish we had known all these secrets when our babies were little.

Katy– “Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth“- a great book telling you what you need to know to have the best birth possible. This book will inspire you!

Amy  (student)- She recommends, “The Business of Being Born“. This DVD is interesting from the very first minute and is especially good for women still deciding whether or not to use a midwife.

Madison (doula & birth assistant)- “Spiritual Midwifery,” by Ina May Gaskin – birth stories from the ladies who brought us a renewal of midwifery culture and gave birth to our current generation of birth junkies.  These stories will prepare you to let loose and just groove into labor!

Jackie– My recommendation is a CD called, “Journeying Through  Pregnancy and Birth; Relaxation and Visualization” by Jennifer Houston, music by Mark Kelso. This CD helps you feel confident and prepared to give birth. It makes me relax every time I hear it.
